DSV Charter Network

Airfreight North America

The objective of the DSV charter network is to offer customers secured capacity in markets that are currently not in service or may be constrained. In addition to offering increased capacity in the air, the DSV charter network brings additional value by operating in unconstrained airports, often controlled by DSV ground personnel, guaranteeing a best in class service end-to-end.

The DSV charter network is a compilation of DSV secured freighter capacity by means of ACMI, Blocked Space Agreements on scheduled commercial freighters, and scheduled full- or part-chartered agreements.

This service benefits our customers who need peace of mind that all aspects of the supply chain are controlled by DSV staff.

Every customer, large or small, can make use of this service. DSV can accommodate commodities of all kind, from temperature-controlled healthcare shipments up to oversize Oil & Gas equipment.

If you are interested in how the DSV charter network can support your supply chain in these times of uncertainty, please reach out to your local DSV Representative for options.

Europe to US - Dixie

Beginning April 1st, DSV in Europe offers weekly recurring freighter uplift to support DSV customers on the Trans-Atlantic Westbound trade lane.

This capacity is serviced through scheduled freighter service where secured capacity is 100% controlled by DSV.

Unlike the previous DSV charter service from Luxembourg to the US and Mexico, the new Dixie service offers a wider range for origin and destination airports to accommodate the current coronavirus situation, giving more flexibility and broader capacity security to DSV customers.

This capacity is managed by a centralized management team that steers cargo from where it is serviced best, making sure to avoid airports that are troubled with congestion and shortage of staff and truckers.

US to Europe – Dixie

Beginning April 1st, DSV US offers weekly recurring freighter uplift to support DSV customers on the Trans-Atlantic Eastbound trade lane.

DSV also offers customized block-space agreements out of various US origins, in addition to Huntsville, which service many global destinations by usage of scheduled freighter carriers. We offer this as an alternative to the DSV Charter Network on the Trans-Atlantic Eastbound trade lanes. Please contact your DSV Representative for support.

This Eastbound Dixie capacity is serviced through a scheduled freighter service where secured capacity is 100% controlled by DSV through its uncongested and dedicated DSV operated freighter airport. Due to the drop-in demand on the Eastbound trade lane, the US to Europe schedule will be limited to two times per week, serviced by a full freighter Boeing 747-8.

In times of restructured supply chains, flexible and customized allocations are best to service the needs of DSV customers on this trade lane.

China to US – Oriental Dixie

On March 25th, DSV China began offering weekly recurring freighter uplift to support DSV customers on the Trans-Pacific Eastbound trade lane. This capacity is serviced through scheduled freighter service where secured capacity is 100% controlled by DSV.

This newly installed service is to support the increased demand from China to the US and is serviced by a three-times-per-week rotation using a Boeing 747-8 full freighter.

The aircraft can accommodate all commodities and offers two temperature settings (2-8 C° and 15-25 C°) - to accommodate pharmaceuticals and other high-end commodities that require temperature control during flight.

US to China and Korea – Oriental Dixie

Connecting LATAM

Although the LATAM region is not directly serviced through the DSV charter network, DSV offers daily connections, via our Miami Gateway, with our Charter services to the US and via our US Road Feeder Network.

Many countries have an entry ban at this time (most of the passenger flights to LATAM have been suspended and freighter capacity is, in most cases, the only option.) As such, DSV has secured capacity on scheduled freighter uplift from Miami to various countries in LATAM.
