DSV’s Duty Drawback Team Attends Drawback Trade Day with CBP On August 6th, 2019, the New York / New Jersey Foreign Freight Forwarders & Brokers Association hosted a Drawback Trade Day with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) so that professionals could discuss the most extensive changes to the Duty Drawback program since its inception in 1789. 8-20-2019 The event was held at the Alexander Hamilton US Custom House in New York City and featured speakers from the Offices of Trade, Field Operations, and Regulations and Ruling. Topics covered included Trade Facilitation & Trade Enforcement Act (TFTEA), Drawback, transition to ACE, regulation changes, and policy questions. The DSV team had the opportunity to meet with the Drawback specialists that they regularly work with and learn about their day-to-day operations. They also visited the historic State Room at the Customs house and took photos in the collector’s reception room.
