USTR Announces List 4 of Section 301 for Imports from China; Public Hearing June 17

On May 10th, 2019, The United States Trade Representative (USTR) released a statement on the US taking additional action under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974. He announced the US will “begin the process of raising tariffs on essentially all remaining imports from China, which are valued at approximately $300 billion.”

The new list, List 4, represents the products not currently covered by any of the previous three lists: List 1, List 2, List 3. The additional duty to be assessed at 25%.

The hearing and public comment period for List 4 of Section 301 China tariffs will be held on June 17th, 2019 in Washington, D.C.

If you wish to be considered for the public hearing, you must submit comments and responses in accordance with the following schedule: 

June 10, 2019: Due date for filing requests to appear and a summary of expected testimony at the public hearing.
June 17, 2019: Due date for submission of written comments.
