Department of Commerce Announces User Testing for New Commerce 232 Exclusion Portal

Section 301 Tariffs to Remain at 10% After Agreement Between U.S. and China.

The Department of Commerce reported in the Federal Register that they have developed an online portal that will replace the current Federal Rulemaking portal. The new version will have the ability to request exclusions, submit rebuttals and surrebuttals, and track requests.

According to the Federal Register, in order to improve the Section 232 exclusion process, the Department of Commerce plans to transition to the new portal in late 2018 or early 2019. Public testing will be held on December 6th and 7th.
