Implementation Date for List 3 of Section 301 Chinese Goods to be extended until June 15, 2019

On May 31, 2019, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) published a notice that the effective date for implementation of Section 301 Tranche 3 China duty from 10% to 25% was further pushed out  to June 15, 2019. 

The extension will be for Tranche 3 cargo that meet the following criteria:

(i) entered for consumption or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, prior to June 15, 2019
(ii) exported to the United States prior to May 10, 2019

The U.S. Trade Representative’s office will publish a notice in the Federal Register this week.
