Section 301 Tariffs to Remain at 10% After Agreement Between U.S. and China

Section 301 Tariffs to Remain at 10% After Agreement Between U.S. and China.

It was announced that an agreement was made between the United States and China that would leave the tariffs on List 3 of Section 301, which makes up a majority of the $200 billion worth of goods across all three lists, at the current 10% duty rate, rather than raising the rate to 25% on January 1st, as was previously announced.

The U.S. will continue the current rate of 10% while it negotiates with China over the next 90 days. This move will keep additional duties on approximately 40% of all Chinese imports from going higher.
