DSV Cleveland Attended Export Compliance Seminar
The Ohio District Export Council hosted a two-day export compliance seminar in Independence, Ohio, led by the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security.
The program provided an in-depth examination of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and covered information that exporters need in order to comply with U.S. export control requirements on commercial goods.
While most of the attendees were suppliers learning how to do their part to keep U.S. borders safe even before their product leaves their facilities - DSV Cleveland Branch Manager, Turhan Cetin attended a booth to speak with clients about how we could work together to ensure compliance in all of their exports.
DSV staff also sat in on the training to gain a better understanding of what suppliers go through to stay compliant while maintaining the integrity of their product. The supplier is the supply chain’s first line of defense in keeping U.S. borders safe, but DSV as the freight forwarder is the last line of defense before the cargo crosses the border as an export.
Thank you to the Ohio District Export Council for inviting DSV to be a part of this seminar and to continue educating our staff and clients.
