The Motor Carriers of Montana recently hosted their Truck Driving Championships. The national competition dates back to 1937, then known as the National Truck “Roadeo”. Participants are subjected to a written test, a pre-trip inspection of their vehicle, and a driving skills course. The state of Montana had 39 competitors across eight different classes of trucks, including three DSV Road Transport, Inc. independent contractors in the five axle, open deck division.
Two of DSV’s contractors finished in the top 3, including a first place finish by previous state champion Robert Ellinger. Robert is one of our most productive and safest contractors, having driven over three million accident free miles with DSV. His win in Montana grants him a spot in the National Championships in Columbus, Ohio in August.
Thank you to the DSV drivers for representing us well in Montana and congrats and good luck to Robert at the National Championships!
